Abstract
U sklopu ovog završnog rada dan je pregled uređaja za korištenje energije morskih valova s posebnim naglaskom na Wellsovu turbinu i zašto bi baš ona mogla biti najpogodnija za korištenje na Jadranskome moru. Sama Wells turbina kao i kapa koja ju štiti projektirana je u CATIA-i V5 R20. Nakon timske rasprave odlučeno je s kojim će se izgledom kape ići u 3D print te se moglo krenuti u sljedeću fazu, a to je bilo laboratorijsko ispitivanje. Kod laboratorijskog ispitivanja bitna su nam dva uređaja: podzvučni zračni tunel i generator valova. Opisani su načini radova oba uređaja te su dani parametri s kojima će se ići u ispitivanje turbine. Zračni tunel dao je ovisnost brzine strujanja i snage dok se generatorom valova nastojalo doći do idejnog rješenja još jedne bitne komponente u cijelom sklopu: rezonantne komore. U sklopu toga obrađeni su i maritimni uvjeti Jadranskog mora za koje se onda kreira komora. Na kraju, zbog ograničenosti s vremenom i nedostatkom materijala za 3D print, napravljena je numerička analiza toka fluida u softveru Ansys Discovery. On je dao neke konkretne podatke koji će poslužiti za usporedbu i orijentaciju u daljnjem postupanju sa Wells turbinom.
Abstract (english)
As a part of this thesis, a review has been given on wave energy converters with the special emphasis on the Wells turbine and why it could be most suitable to use in the Adriatic Sea. The Wells turbine as well as the cap that protects it is designed in the CATIA-i V5 R20. After the team discussion, it was decided which cap will go into 3D print and then everything could move on to the next stage which was a laboratory testing. There are two devices for the laboratory testing: subsonic wind tunnel and the wave generator. The methods on which both devices operates are described and the parameters that will be used for turbine testing are given. The air tunnel gave dependence of the flow velocity and power while with the wave generator there was an attempt to come up with the conceptual solution of yet another essential component: resonant chamber. Finally, due to the time constraints and the lack of the 3D printing material, a numerical analysis of the fluid flow in the Ansys Discovery sofware was made. He provided some specific data that will serve as a comparison and orientation in the further processing with the Wells turbine.
