The theme of this graduate thesis is the „Calculation of double girder bridge crane“. In this short review the cranes were elaborated and bridge cranes were described in details. The division of the crane types has been made, and their basic parts were clarified separately. In the third chapter, a simplified model of the bearing structure of the crane was created in the „SolidWorks“ software package. The model was made according to documentation of Hydroelectric power plant Rama. In this part of the work, tehnical documentation of the construction was made and it is enclosed at the end. The diagrams and sketches were further illustrated, and an analytical calculation of hooks, winch frames and main brackets has been made, all taking into account the most unfavorable load cases. Procedure which would be used for obtaining results, using finite element method, was described and some examples of mesh and finite elements for other constructions were presented. 3D finite elements were used for numerical analysis. Previously made geometry in SolidWorks was used for numerical analysis, and all examples for analysis were made in Ansys 16.0 software. Convergence of solutions of total displacements and equivalent Von-Mises stresses for the different finite element sizes was also performed and shown in tables and diagrams. The comparison of the results was obtained, analytical calculation and numerical analysis was performed and presented at the end of this work.
