The aim of this paper is to devise a new concept of a rotating mechanism that would suit aircraft of larger dimensions and masses compared to the existing solutions. The introductory part provides an insight into certain problems that make it important for today's structures and buildings to be done with a high degree of efficiency in terms of saving energy, materials and space. Then, an analysis of existing solutions and requirements that must be met by the new construction concept is made. This concept is adapted to military fighter aircraft, on which were based the dimensions for the new construction model. The numerical part of this graduate thesis is focused on a part of the platform construction that is directly affected by the aircraft load. The numerical calculation was done in Ansys software, and most of the model was made in SolidWorks. The numerical part consists of the calculation of the truss structure and panels with stiffeners. The solution that best meets the strength requirement with the appropriate safety factor was sought. Different load conditions to which the structure was subjected were analyzed and based on that, dimensioning was done. Solutions for deformations and stresses of the structure were sought, and the results were converged depending on the density of the finite element mesh, and the influence of changing the dimensions of individual cross-sections on displacements and equivalent stresses. Finally, a new concept of the rotating mechanism was presented, which consists, in addition to the calculated part of the structure, of the solution for lifting the aircraft to a higher platform, movable rail stands and the platform support.
