Abstract
Suvremena endodontska terapija omogućuje očuvanje avitalnog zuba u denticiji pacijenta. Preduvjeti su svođenje broja mikroorganizama na minimum kemomehaničkom obradom, dobro brtvljenje odgovarajućim punjenjem i postendodontskom opskrbom zuba. Međutim, tijekom svake faze terapije može doći do određene komplikacije. Komplikacije su podijeljene na one tijekom izrade pristupnog kaviteta, kemomehaničke obrade kanala, punjenja kanala, izrade nadogradnji te na ostale komplikacije. Ne znače sve komplikacije nužno i neuspjeh terapije, no ishod je terapije u određenoj mjeri kompromitiran. Komplikacije u terapiji neizbježne su za svakog kliničara. Cilj je pravovremeno ih prepoznati, upoznati pacijenta s njima te ih prikladno sanirati, no i učiniti sve da se one preveniraju.
Abstract (english)
Contemporary endodontic therapy enables preservation of avital teeth in the dentition of the patient. The prerequisites for that are minimizing the number of microorganisms in the root canal through chemomehanical preparation and good sealing achieved through adequate obturation of canals and postendodontic restoration. However, ceratin complications are possible during each stage of therapy. They are divided into complications that may happen during acce ss cavity preparation, chemomechanical preparation of canals, obturation of canals, post preparation and other complications. All complications do not necessarily indicate therapy failure, but its outcome might be compromised. Complications of therapy are inevitable for every clinician. The goal is to recognize them on time, inform the patient about them and fix them properly, but also do everything to prevent them.
