Abstract
Molarno incizivna hipomineralizacija kao idiopatski višečimbenični kvalitativni poremećaj cakline predstavlja javnozdravstveni problem jer je njome zahvaćeno 13,1% svjetske populacije. Etiologija nije do kraja razjašnjena, no sve je više saznanja o čimbenicima koji mogu utjecati na nastanak hipomineralizacije. Razvijena je nova klasifikacija u vidu odgovarajućih indeksa s obzirom na potrebu za liječenjem. Odabir terapije ovisi o veličini defekta i postojanju preosjetljivosti. Smjernice o odgovarajućem kliničkom pristupu lezijama stražnjih zubi i lezijama u fronti su revidirane. Također, revidirane su smjernice o načinu liječenja preosjetljivosti. Ono je ključno za održavanje adekvatne oralne higijene i osiguranje budućnosti zahvaćenih zubi. Rana dijagnostika od iznimne je važnosti za najbolji interes pacijenta, ali i cjelokupnu populaciju.
Abstract (english)
Molar-incisor hypomineralization as an idiopathic multifactorial qualitative enamel disorder represents a public health problem with 13,1% world prevalence. The etiology has not been fully elucidated, but there is an increasing knowledge about the factors that can influence the occurrence of hypomineralization. A new classification was developed in the form of appropriate indexes regarding the need for treatment. The therapy of choice depends on the size of the defect and the presence of hypersensitivity. Guidelines on the optimal clinical approach to posterior teeth lesions and anterior teeth lesions have been revised. Guidelines on how to treat hypersensitivity have also been revised. Treatment of hypersensitivity is essential for maintaining adequate oral hygiene and ensuring the future of the affected teeth. Early diagnosis is extremely important for the best interest of the patient, but also for the entire population.
