Abstract
Postendodontska sanacija vrlo je važan korak u liječenju zuba i očuvanju njegove dugotrajnosti u usnoj šupljini. Pravilnom restauracijom prethodno izgubljenog zubnog tkiva, povratit ćemo funkciju zuba, a ujedno ga i zaštiti od daljnjeg propadanja. Biokeramički materijali nametnuli su se kao odličan odabir u mnogim kliničkim situacijama. Zahvaljujući svojstvu biokompatibilnosti i bioaktivnosti djeluju povoljno na cijeljenje zubnog tkiva, a antimikrobno svojstvo sprječava rast i razmnožavanje bakterija. Neosjetljivost na tkivne tekućine i krv tijekom stvrdnjavanja čine biokeramike materijalom izbora u slučaju kada nije moguće očuvati suhog radno polje. Dobra mehanička svojstva, kao što su odlična sposobnost brtvljenja i kompresivna čvrstoća, još su neke od prednosti koje biokeramički materijali posjeduju u odnosu na svoje prethodnike.
Abstract (english)
Postendodontic restoration is a crucial step in treating teeth and preserving their longevity in the oral cavity. By properly restoring previously lost tooth tissue, we can restore tooth function and at the same time protect it from further decay. Bioceramic materials have emerged as an excellent choice in many clinical situations. Due to their biocompatibility and bioactivity, they have a positive impact on dental tissue healing, while their antimicrobal properties prevent bacterial growth and reproduction. The insensitivity of bioceramics to tissue fluids and blood during curing makes them the material of choice when a dry working field cannot be maintained . Good mechanical properties, such as excellent sealing ability and compressive strenght, are some of the advantages that bioceramic materials have over their predecessors.
