Abstract (croatian)
Današnji dokumenti, pa tako i znanstveni članci i knjige, izvorno nastaju u elektroničkom obliku te njihova dostupnost ovisi isključivo o poslovnoj politici izdavača tj. vlasnika dokumenata. Budući da je temeljna svrha objavljivanja znanstvenih radova komunikacija sa znanstvenom i stručnom javnošću, neupitna je prednost globalne dostupnosti. Može se možda zapitati komu su potrebni tekstovi iz 60-ih godina prošlog stoljeća. U slučaju briljantnih i hrabrih vizionara spoznaje i otkrića toliko su prije vremena da ih se ponovno otkriva desetljećima poslije. Osim toga, današnja generacija istraživača može ući u duhovne sfere prethodnika na čijim je leđima stasala, a to nije zanemarivo naslijeđe.Obrađeno je više od 1 200 članaka objavljenih do 1999. godine i više od 6 000 imena te isto toliko prezimena autora.
Abstract (english)
Modern documents, scientific articles and books are primarily issued in electronic form and their availability depends on the publisher’s, or the document owner’s, business ethics. The primary purpose of publishing a scientific article is to communicate with the scientific and professional community; therefore, the published article has to be available worldwide. The question is: Who really needs scientific papers from the 1960’s? In cases of brilliant and bold visionaries, new concepts and scientific discoveries often come before their time; hence they have to be “reinvented” decades later. Besides, the scientists of today can enter the spiritual spheres of their professional ancestors and give respect to their legacy. We have processed more than 1 200 articles published by 1999 and entered more than 6 000 names and surnames of authors.
