Abstract
Standardni mostovi su fiksnoprotetske konstrukcije građene od metalnoga skeleta i polimerne fasete. Metalni je skelet izrađen od zubnih legura manje čvrstoće, tvrdoće, te veće elastičnosti. Okluzalne su plohe izrađene u metalu, a preparacija zuba nosača manje je obimna nego kod metal-keramičkih mostova. Osnovna veza polimera i metala je mehanička, zbog čega je retencija fasete slabija. Odlikuju se jednostavnijom laboratorijskom izradom, relativno niskom cijenom, ali i lošijom estetikom i kraćom trajnošću. Metal-keramički nadomjesci imaju vrlo dobra svojstva, a osnovna je zamjerka ovim mosnim konstrukcijama veliko brušenje zuba nosača te visoka cijena. Standardni se mostovi koriste kod kombiniranih mobilno-fiksnih protetskih radova, kod bruksizma, parodontotičnih zuba nosača, te kod osoba nižega socijalnog statusa.
Abstract (english)
Conventional bridges are fixed prosthodontic constructions built of metal skelet and polymer veneer. Metal skelet is made of dental alloys of inferior strength and hardness, and higher elasticity. Occlusal surfaces are covered with metal, and the preparation of the abutmant teeth is less voluminous in comparison with metalceramic bridges. The basic connection between the metal and polymeric veneer is mechanical, and thereby weaker. Other characteristics are a simple laboratory procedure and a comparatively lower price, but also worse esthetics and durability. Fixed metal-ceramic prostheses have many advantages. However, the biggest disadvantage is the sacrifying of the abutmant teeth and a high price. Conventional bridges are used in combined movable and fixed prosthetic constructions, bruxism, parodontotic abutmant teeth and in patients of lower social status.
