Abstract
Izbjeljivanje zubi je danas brza i efikasna metoda. Uzroke diskoloracije zuba možemo podijeliti na endogene, egzogene i one koji postaju endogeni s vremenom. Dobrom dijagnozom uzroka diskoloracije možemo primijeniti prikladnu tehniku izbjeljivanja. Danas se najčešće koriste materijali na bazi 35%-tnog vodikovog peroksida i 10%-tnog karbamid peroksida. Tehnike koje se koriste za izbjeljivanje vitalnih zuba su bijeljenje u ordinaciji i kućno bijeljenje pomoću udlage ili trake. Nevitalne zube može se također bijeliti u ordinaciji ili postupkom van ordinacije. Za površinske diskoloracije koristi se i caklinska mikroabrazija. Najbolji rezultati postižu se kombinacijom tehnika u ordinaciji i tehnika bijeljenja kod kuće. Za vrijeme izbjeljivanja mogu se javiti komplikacije a najčešće su: zubna preosjetljivost, ireverzibilini pulpitis, interne i eksterne resorpcije, iritacije mukoze te negativan učinak na restaurativne materijale i njihovo vezanje. Kako bi se spriječila pojava komplikacija potreban je stručni nadzor stomatologa i dobra suradnja pacijenta.
Abstract (english)
Tooth whitening is quick and effective method today. Causes of tooth discoloration can be divided into intrinsic, extrinsic and those that become intrinsic trough the time. With proper diagnose of discoloration cause, we can use proper bleaching technique. Today are mostly used materials based on 35% hydrogen peroxide and 10% carbamide peroxide. Techniques used for vital teeth are «in the office» and «at home» bleaching with nightguard or stripes. Nonvital teeth can also be bleached with «in the office» technique or with «walking bleach» technique. Enamel microabrasion is used for surface stains. We can achieve the best results by using combined techniques. During bleaching procedure some complications may occur. These complications are: tooth sensitivity, irreversible pulpitis, internal and external resorptions, mucose irritations and negative influence on restorative materials and their bonding. To prevent these complications patient cooperation and professional supervision are needed
