Abstract
Mini dentalni implantati su implantati promjera 1,8 do 2,4 mm. Mogu služiti za imedijatnu stabilizaciju protetskih radova nakon minimalno invazivnog zahvata. Nadalje, mini dentalni implantati mogu se koristiti u slučajevima kad su konvencionalni implantati nepraktični ili kad je drugačija vrsta sidrišta potrebna. Vrijeme cijeljenja potrebno za mini implantate je kraće nego za konvencionalne implantate za koje je potrebno provesti agresivnu kiruršku terapiju. Dizajn mini dentalnih implantata je takav da je tehnika njihova postavljanja minimalno invazivna te je trauma periimplantatnog tkiva minimalna. Zbog njihovih mogućnosti i lakoće primjene, mini implantati su se pokazali uspješnim i kao privremeni stabilizatori i kao dugotrajna sidrišta.
Abstract (english)
Mini dental implants are implants of approximately 1,8 mm to 2,4 mm diameter. They can provide an immediate stabilization of a prosthodontic appliance after a minimally invasive surgical procedure. Furthermore, mini dental implants can be used in cases where conventional implants cannot be placed or when a different type of anchorage system is indicated. The healing time required for a mini implant is typically shorter than that associated with standard dental implants and their accompanying aggressive surgical procedure. The design of mini dental implants allow insertion techniques that lead to less peri-implant tissue damage. Due to their versatility and simple insertion techniques, mini dental implants have been proven useful not only as transitional stabilizers, but also as long-term fixtures.
