Abstract
Prilikom rada u stomatološkoj ordinaciji moguć je prijenos različitih vrsta infekcija. Bakterijske infekcije (panaricij, paronihija te drugi oblici gnojnih upala prstiju i šake) uglavnom su uzrokovane piogenim stafilokokom. Liječenje tih oboljenja u prvom redu je kirurško, a ukoliko nije pravovremeno, može dovesti do znatnog oštećenja, odnosno invaliditeta prstiju i šake. Virusne infekcije također su moguće, i u zadnje vrijeme u znatnom su porastu. Njihova terapija sastoji se od aktivne i pasivne imunizacije, primjene interferona, odnosno antivirusne kemoterapije. Prevencija infekcija u stomatološkoj ordinaciji bazira se na provođenju zakonskih odredaba, primjeni zaštitnih sredstava pri radu, čišćenju, dezinfekciji i sterilizaciji u svim segmentima rada (18).
Abstract (english)
While working in a dentist's office, one can become infected by various microorganisms. Pyogenic staphylococcus is usually the cause of many bacterial infections (like panaritium, paronychia and other purulent infections of the hand and fingers). These infections are treated primarily surgically, but if not treated in time, they can cause severe damage, i.e. disability of the hand and fingers. Another type of infections are virus infections which have been on the increase lately. The therapy consists of active and passive immunization, usage of interferon, i.e. antivirus chemotherapy. Prevention of infections in a dentist's office is based on executing the provisions of the law, applying protective agents at work, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in all segments of work (18).
