Abstract
Fotografija se smatra jednom od vrlo važnih sastavnica u modernoj stomatologiji. Značajnim napretkom digitalne tehnologije fotografiranje je postalo vrlo jednostavno, dostupno i prihvatljivo. Međutim, veliki broj stomatologa još uvijek nerado uključuje dentalnu fotografiju u svoj svakodnevni rad zbog različitih razloga – nedostatak opreme, tehnike i znanja, gubitak vremena te dodatni troškovi tečajeva. Brojne su prednosti dentalnoga fotografiranja: od dijagnoze i planiranja budućega zahvata, edukacije pacijenata i kolega, komunikacije s dentalnim laboratorijem sve do profesionalnoga oglašavanja i marketinga. Ubrzan razvoj digitalne tehnologije uzrokovao je pojavu vrlo sofisticiranih pametnih telefona s visokokvalitetnim kamerama osposobljenim za stomatološko fotografiranje, a dodatak profesionalnoga osvjetljenja omogućuje postizanje idealnih uvjeta za izradu dentalne fotografije. Nadalje, uporaba dodatne opreme smanjuje troškove, štedi vrijeme, ne zahtijeva dodatne troškove te je vrlo jednostavna za svakodnevnu primjenu. Njezina se primjena naročito ističe u segmentu određivanja boje zubi jer olakšava uporabu spektrofotometra.
Abstract (english)
Photography is considered to be one of the most important components in modern dentistry. With the significant advances in digital technology, photography has become very simple, accessible and affordable. However, many dentists are still reluctant to include dental photography in their daily work for a variety of reasons – lack of equipment, technique and knowledge, loss of time and the added cost of courses. The benefits of dental photography are numerous: ranging from diagnosis and planning for future treatment, patient and colleague education, communication with the dental laboratory to professional advertising and marketing. The rapid development of digital technology has led to the emergence of highly sophisticated smartphones with high-quality cameras capable of dental photography, and the addition of professional lighting allows achieving the ideal conditions for the production of dental photography. Further, using the accessory reduces costs, saves time, requires no additional cost and is very easy to use on a day-to-day basis. Its application is particularly prominent in the segment of tooth color determination because it facilitates the use of a spectrophotometer.
