Abstract
Stupanj uspjeha dentalnih implantata vrlo je visok i čini se da ukazuje na minimalne komplikacije vezane uz same implantate. Veće pogreške događaju se zbog lošeg pozicioniranja implantata i nepoznavanja anatomskih struktura područja u kojima se vrši kirurški zahvat implantacije. Dentalna implantologija danas je najbrže rastuća grana dentalne medicine te se kao izbor terapije koristi u mnogim ordinacijama dentalne medicine diljem svijeta. Kirurška faza dentalne implantologije najizazovniji je dio implantoproteteske rehabilitacije jer o poziciji implantata ovisi uspjeh i trajnost samoga rada. Kod pozicioniranja implantata želimo se voditi protetskim planom te smo zbog toga često ograničeni na dijelove čeljusti neposredno u blizini anatomski važnih struktura. Kako bismo izbjegli komplikacije u vidu gubitka implantata, ali i po život pacijenta opasne komplikacije, nužno je detaljno poznavanje anatomskih struktura koje su u blizini implantacijskog mjesta. Poznavanje anatomije nije dovoljno da bi se moglo odlučiti o vrsti implantata i mjestu implantacije, već je za uspješnu i sigurnu terapiju nužno poznavanje radiološke dijagnostike i preoperativnog planiranja implantacije.
Abstract (english)
Dental implants success rate is very high and seems to indicate minimal complications related to the implants themselves. Larger errors occur due to poor positioning of the implant and lack of knowledge of the anatomical structures of the areas in which the implant surgery is performed. Nowadays, dental implantology is the fastest growing branch of dental medicine and is used as a preferred therapy in many dental practices around the world. The surgical phase of dental implantology is the most challenging part of implantprosthetic rehabilitation because the position of the implant determines the success and durability of the complete prosthetic work. When positioning the implants, one wants to be guided by a prosthetic plan which often limits the choice of implant position to the parts of the jaw directly adjacent to anatomically important structures. In order to avoid complications in the form of implant loss but also life-threatening complications, a detailed knowledge of the anatomical structures that are near the implant site is necessary. Knowledge of anatomy is not enough to decide on the type of implant and the site of implantation, but for successful and safe therapy, knowledge of radiological diagnostics and preoperative implant planning is of great importance.
