Abstract
Razvoj laserske tehnologije omogućio je njenu primjenu u različitim poljima medicine i dentalne medicine. Dokazi iz kliničkih i laboratorijskih istraživanja upućuju da primjena niskoenergetskog tj. mekog lasera ima biostimulativni učinak na tkivo, smanjuje bol i upalu te pospješuje cijeljenje i obnovu tkiva. U oralnoj medicini terapija mekim laserom može se koristiti samostalno ili kao dio kombinirane terapije u liječenju niza dijagnoza kao što su orofacijalna bol, trigeminalna neuralgija, sindrom pekućih usta, oralni mukozitis, oralni lihen planus, rekurentne infekcije herpes simpleks virusima, rekurentne aftozne ulceracije, bulozne bolesti, kserostomija, temporomandibularni poremećaji i protetski palatitis. Brojni dokumentirani pozitivni učinci lasera, uz neinvazivnu i bezbolnu primjenu, izostanak nuspojava ili interakcije s drugim lijekovima čine ovu vrstu terapije vrijednom metodom liječenja. Potrebno je razviti standardizirani protokol primjene kako bi se postigao najbolji učinak.
Abstract (english)
Development of laser technology enabled its application in different fields of medicine and dental medicine. The evidence from clinical and laboratory research suggests that the use of low-level energy laser, ie soft laser, has a biostimulative effect on the tissue, reduces pain and inflammation, and enhances tissue healing and recovery. In oral medicine, low-level laser therapy can be used alone or combined in the treatment of a series of diagnoses such as orofacial pain, trigeminal neuralgia, burning mouth syndrome, oral mucositis, oral lichen planus, recurrent aphtous ulcerations, bullous diseases, xerostomia, temporomandibular disorders and denture stomatitis. Numerous documented positive effects of lasers, with noninvasive and painless use, lack of side effects, or interaction with other drugs, make this type of therapy valuable treatment. A standardized application protocol needs to be developed to achieve the best effect.
