Abstract
Uzimanje otisaka čest je postupak u ordinaciji dentalne medicine. Svrha otiska je točno i precizno prikazati dimenzijski stabilan negativ koji predstavlja trenutnu situaciju u usnoj šuljini. Otisni se materijali kontinuirano razvijaju kako bi im se poboljšala preciznost, ugoda za pacijenta te lakoća korištenja. Suvremeni materijali su precizni, hidrofilni, dimenzionalno stabilni te se mogu automatski zamiješati. Usporedno s razvojem konvencionalnih otisnih materijala došlo je i do pojave intraoralnih skenera za digitalno otiskivanje. Oni dijele neka od dobrih svojstava otisnih materijala, no postoje prednosti i nedostaci karakteristični za svaku od tehnologija. Unatoč digitalizaciji i virtualizaciji otisaka, konvencionalna tehnika otiskivanja i dalje je potrebna u kliničkoj praksi, pogotovo za subgingivne preparacije, otiskivanje cijelih zubinih lukova i funkcijske otiske.
Abstract (english)
Taking impressions is a necessary procedure in most dental practices. Its principal goal is to produce an accurate, precise and dimensionally stable negative imprint which shows the current status in the oral cavity. Impression material has evolved and improved the precision of procedure, patient comfort and the ease of use. Modern materials are precise, hydrophilic, dimensionally stable and can be automatically mixed. In parallel with the development of the conventional impression material, intraoral scanning devices have been introduced. Both methods share some good characteristics when it comes to impression materials, but they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Despite the application of digital impressions technologies in daily clinical practice, analogue method is still needed, especially for deep subgingival areas, full arch impressions and functional impressions.
