Abstract
Uvodno se izlaže koncept gospodarenja privatnim šumama u Hrvatskoj, posebno u smislu zakonodavnog okvira vezano za pripremu i provedbu šumskogospodarskih planova. U nastavku se opisuju značajke zaštićenog područja Park prirode Medvednica i djelatnost Javne ustanove „Park prirode Medvednica“. U središnjem dijelu rada se, na temelju pregleda programa gospodarenja, za pojedine gospodarske jedinice opisuju specifičnosti gospodarenja privatnim šumama. Navode se ograničenja i posebne mjere koje u gospodarenju treba primjenjivati obzirom na zaštićene prirodne vrijednosti područja, koje je istodobno i područje ekološke mreže „Natura 2000“. Obrazlažu se postojeće teškoće i izazovi u provedbi programa gospodarenja. Zaključno se predlaže akcijski plan, te se uz zaključke daju i preporuke za veći doprinos gospodarenja privatnim šumama s ciljevima očuvanja zaštićenog područja Parka prirode Medvednica.
