Abstract
Oblikovanje prostora koji zahtjeva kvalitetu zvuka treba posebne elemente za pojačavanje akustične kvalitete. U tu svrhu često se upotrebljava drvo i proizvodi od drva jer je jedna od karakteristika drva da dobro prigušuje zvučne valove. Iz tog razloga često se koristi za potrebe akustike interijera, ali i u eksterijeru. U ovom radu dati će se pregled primjene drva u akustici prostora i zaštite od buke; vrste drva koje se najčešće upotrebljavaju u navedene svrhe; osnovni zahtjevi i svojstva drva koje utječu na njihov izbor.
