Abstract
Divlja jabuka (Malus sylvestris (L.) Mill.) je vrsta šumskog drveća velike fenotipske varijabilnosti koja je raštrkano rasprostranjena na području Europe. Zbog česte hibridizacije, ta se vrsta postepeno zamjenjuje hibridnim rojem koji se sastoji od hibridnih genotipova sa značajnim kultiviranim primjesama što dovodi do ugroženosti ishodne, divlje vrste. U ovom se radu nastoje prikazati razlozi ugroženosti te metode očuvanja genofonda te vrste.
