Abstract
Prilikom identificiranja drva potrebno je poznavati mikroskopsku i makroskopsku građu. U radu su detaljno pojašnjene te slikama prikazane pojedine građe za odabrane vrste drva. Mikroskopske karakteristike predstavljaju obilježja drva vidljiva samo pod mikroskopom, dok makroskopske karakteristike predstavljaju obilježja vidljiva golim okom ili povećalom. Nadalje, pojašnjeno je jedno od estetskih svojstava – tekstura. Ona predstavlja izgled obrađene površine drva. Detaljno je opisan utjecaj strukture na teksturu za odabrane vrste drva. Zaključno, jedinstvene karakteristike četinjača, listača i egzotičnih vrsta uvelike utječu na njihovu primjenu i estetski dojam.
