Abstract
U ovom radu obraditi će se i napraviti prikaz najznačajnijih patogenih gljiva koje onemogućuju normalan rast i razvitak divljeg kestena.U Hrvatskoj jednom od najznačajnijih se smatra gljiva Guignardia aesculi. Njezino štetno djelovanje ne uzrokuje odumiranje stabala, ali uzastopnim napadima kroz više godina uzrokuju fiziološko slabljenje stabala, te ugrožava njihov opstanak, a isto tako negativno utječe na estetiku stabala koji se razvijaju u urbanim područjima. Osim navedene fitopatogene vrste obraditi će se i drugi patogeni organizmi koji uzrokuju bolesti i štete na divljem kestenu.
