Abstract
Forvarderi su vozila za kretanje po bespuću, čija je osnovna namjena sakupljanje i prijevoz drvnih sortimenata od panja do pomoćnog stovarišta. Primjenom novih tehnologija te razvojem novih metoda rada u šumarstvu dolazi do ubrzanog razvoja mehaniziranih sredstava rada kao što su forvarderi. U radu će biti prikazan kratak povijesni razvoj forvardera, te će se na temelju istraživanja izabranih geometrijskih, masenih i drugih veličina utvrditi trenutačno stanje, svojstva i zakonitosti, ali i mogući tijek razvoja strojeva u šumarstvu.
