Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bila je teorijska analiza Goetheova djela ''Učenje o bojama''. Da bi pristupili analizi djela prvo se treba upoznati sa teoretičarima koji su se ovom temom bavili mnogo prije Goethea. Teoriju boja zaista je proučavalo mnogo teoretičara od velikog Aristotela, Leonarda da Vincia, pa sve do Newtona s čijom se teorijom Goethe nikako nije slagao i žustro je govorio protiv njega. Boje su glavni akteri Goetheova djela. Podijelio ih je na fiziološke, fizikalne i kemijske. Prve su nezaustavljivo nestalne, druge su prolazne ali se ipak mogu zadržati, dok se posljednje zadržavaju i najduže traju. To su ujedno prva tri poglavlja Goetheova djela, četvrti dio je opći uvid u unutarnja svojstva boja, a u petom djelu se proučava bliski odnos između boja.
