On the child's changing growth and development affect the characteristics of his personality as well as his specific skills and difficulties. Their life path is marked by many physical and psychological changes that can sometimes be a challenge. Thus the center of this study was to examine the relationship between strengths and difficulty of preschool children and their temperament. The study was conducted on a sample of 461 children of early and preschool age and evaluation of a total 29 preschool teachers. As a measuring instrument two questionnaires were used: Strengths and difficulties Questionnaire and EAS temperament Survey. The results assessed higher total values on strengths subscale (M = 2.52, SD = 0.48) and less on the difficulties (M = 1.39, SD = 0.43), with the highest level on sociability (M = 4.03, SD = 0.65) and the lowest on emotionality (M = 2.40, SD = 1.03) in children of preschool age. With regard to gender, boys are assessed as more hyperactive and with conduct problems and girls as more pro-social. It was found that with increasing age levels of difficulties declined and strengths increased. More emotional children showed significantly more difficulties in all of the dimensions. With increasing activity prosocial behavior and emotional problems significantly decreased and the value on hyperactivity and behavior problems increases. With increased sociability increases pro-social behavior, and decreases the value on the difficulties subscale.
