Abstract (english) The aim of this paper was to analyse the kinesiology programs implemented for early and pre-school age children within and outside the institutional context and to determine whether there are significant differences between them. The
research was conducted using the content analysis method. Online available content was analysed in the most significant databases. Further research steps have also grouped and analysed the kinesiology programs implemented within the educational establishment and beyond. The results show that two types of kinesiology programs are implemented within
the institutional context, integrated kinesiology program and specialized (short) kinesiology program, whereas the kinesiology programs outside the institutional context may be divided into five categories: educational kinesiology programs, sports clubs, social kinesiology programs, health kinesiology programs and general fitness programs. Analyzing the results of kinesiology programs within the institutional context and outside the institutional context, the main differences are noticed in teaching approach, professional staff that implements programs, level of cooperation with parents and local
community and the frequency of program implementation. The integrated kinesiology program stands out in particular within the institutional context, which, according to its characteristics, to the greatest extent contributes to the overall development of children and their needs. An integrated kinesiology program should be encouraged in all kindergartens. It adds value greatly to children’s integrated learning, their optimal growth and development, and the normal and healthy functioning of the whole organism. Consequently, the integrated kinesiology program, directly and indirectly, encourages the adoption of motor literacy and the creation of habits of leading a healthy and active lifestyle from an early age. This research points out the importance and the benefits of creating and implementing diverse kinesiology programs in the everyday life of children from their earliest age, with an emphasis on the best implementation of such programs with the aim of overall growth and development.
