Abstract
Baletna umjetnost spoj je plesa, glazbe i književnosti. Književnost je imala velik utjecaj na balet jer je njome određen stil i pokret u predstavi. Upravo sama tematika koja je bila specifična za određeno razdoblje u književnosti, odražava se u baletu kroz pokret kojima se taj balet iznosi i prikazuje publici. Motivi baletnih libreta najčešće su nestvarni, bajkoviti, mitski i pripadaju fantastičnoj tematici. U ovom radu prikazat ćemo baletna libreta u kontekstu dječje književnosti. Opisat ćemo libreta koja su nastala tijekom 19. stoljeća i predstavljaju najvišu razinu te grane umjetnosti. S početka 19. stoljeća to su predstavnici francuskog romantizma, La Sylphide i Giselle, a potom krajem 19. stoljeća nastaju carski ruski baleti Labuđe jezero, Trnoružica i Orašar.
Abstract (english)
Ballet art is a compound of dance, music and literature. Literature had a big impact on ballet because it helped in defining the style and the movement in a play. The theme itself, specific for a certain literature period, permeates the ballet art through the dance and movement being shown to audience. Motives of a ballet libretto is most often fictional, inspired by myths and fairy tales and belonging to fictional thematics. This paper will present ballet librettos in the context of children's literature. It describes ballet librettos created during the 19th century which represent the highest form of this art. It describes representatives of French romanticism from the beginning of the 19th century, La Sylphide and Giselle, and Russian imperial ballets Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker in the end of the same century.
