Nepravilan način sjedenja i ležanja, preteške školske torbe, provođenje slobodnog vremena ispred televizora i računala te manjak tjelesne aktivnosti pogoduju razvoju nepravilnog držanja tijela.
Abstract (english) Physical activity, movement and play are important factors in the proper growth and development, but also in the overall health of the child. Play and movement are not just fun for a child, but they represent the protection of the child from the appearance of various illnesses and deformities. However, the spine of a child aged 6 – 7 is subject to change because the child is spending most of his time sitting and spending less time doing physical activity. Just because of the sedentary lifestyle, postural disorders and deformities are becoming more and more numerous in children and adolescents. The most common postural deformities affecting the children are spinal deformities (scoliosis, lordosis and kyphosis), lowered foot and knee deformities ("X" legs and "O" legs). Improper seating and lying, excessive school bags, spending free time in front of the TV and computer, and lack of physical activity are conducive to the development of irregular posture. Initial forms of poor posture appear already in preschool children, therefore the postural deformities and the system of preventive and corrective measures should be the subject of interest not only of doctors, but of parents and preschool teachers. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to familiarize parents, educators, teachers and trainers with the most common postural deformities in children and point to the importance of preventing, detecting and applying corrective procedures using kinesitherapy methods to mitigate and eliminate the possible consequences of improper posture of children and young people. With corrective exercises, it is possible to completely strengthen the insufficient muscle and thus correct improper posture and prevent or mitigate postural deformations. It is important for each exercise program to adapt to the child, his health condition, type, intensity and localization of the disorder. If there is deformity, it is important to seek the help and cooperation of educated professionals.
