Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi koje su to odrednice u roditeljskom stilu života koje utječu na to koliko će se njihovo dijete baviti sportom i utječe li uopće roditeljski stil života na količinu djetetova bavljenja sportskim i rekreativnim aktivnostima. Čimbenici koji su razmatrani su: roditeljske navike za bavljenje sportskim i rekreativnim aktivnostima, radno vrijeme, razina obrazovanja te spol roditelja. Istraživanje je provedeno anketiranjem 79 roditelja jednog zagrebačkog dječjeg vrtića u svibnju 2019. godine. Povezanost između čimbenika roditeljskog stila života i djetetova bavljenja sportom testirana je hi-kvadrat testom. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na to da se roditelji s kraćim radnim vremenom ne razlikuju u uključenosti u sportske i rekreativne aktivnosti s djecom od roditelja s dužim radnim vremenom. Također, pokazalo se da razina obrazovanja ne utječe na razinu osviještenosti roditelja o važnosti njihova uključivanja u sportske i rekreativne aktivnosti s djecom. Iako su roditelji smatrani djetetovim prvim i najvažnijim uzorima, njihovo bavljenje sportom nije povezano s time hoće li se dijete više ili manje uključivati u sportske i rekreativne aktivnosti. Pozitivan rezultat je svakako podjednaka uključenost očeva i majki u sportske i rekreativne aktivnosti s djecom. Pretpostavlja se kako su roditelji najviše ograničeni vlastitim radnim vremenom i nedostatkom financijskih sredstava kako bi djecu mogli više uključivati u sportske i rekreativne aktivnosti što je rezultatom testiranja potvrđeno.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this research was to determine which are the correlates of parental lifestyle that affect the amount of time their children spend in sports activities or does parental lifestye affect the amount of childrens sports activity at all. Correlates that were estimated were: parental sports and recreational activity habits, working hours, level of education and gender. Seventy-nine parents completed a survey in one kindergarten in the city of Zagreb durring the month of May 2019. Hi-square test tested if correlats of parental lifestyle are related to childrens sports activity. The results showed that parents with shorter working hours do not differ from parents with longer working hours in the engagement in sports and recreational activities with their children. Although parents are considered childrens first and most important role models, their amount of time spent in sports activities is not related to childrens amount of time spent in sports and recreational activities. Positive result is that mothers and fathers are equaly engaged in sports and recreational activities with their children. It is assumed that parents are limited by their working hours and the lack of financial assets for engaging their children in sports and recreational acitivities, which is confirmed by the results of this study.
