Abstract Slušanje glazbe dio je svakodnevice svake osobe, pa tako i odgojno-obrazovnih djelatnika. Važnost glazbe za čovjeka može se ispitivati iz više različitih gledišta. Jedan aspekt promatranja važnosti glazbe odnosi se na mentalno zdravlje pojedinca. Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati glazbene navike, preferencije i razloge slušanja glazbe te povezanosti glazbe i mentalnog zdravlja odgojno-obrazovnih djelatnika. Ujedno se htjelo opisati navike i razloge slušanja glazbe, istražiti preferencije prema glazbenim žanrovima, ispitati uvjerenja o utjecaju glazbe na raspoloženje i ponašanje te mentalno zdravlje odgojno-obrazovnih djelatnika u vidu psihološke dobrobiti i zadovoljstva poslom. Ispitivala se povezanost pojedinih sociodemografskih obilježja odgojno-obrazovnih djelatnika, navika, preferencija i razloga slušanja glazbe i njihove psihološke dobrobiti. Rezultati su pokazali kako najveći broj ispitanika, čak njih 76% svakodnevno sluša glazbu. Oko 82% sluša glazbu zbog užitka koji im glazba donosi dok je slušaju. Većina ispitanika (93%) navela je kako slušaju više od 3 vrste glazbe te da najčešće slušaju pop (16%), rock (15%), klasičnu/umjetničku glazbu (10%) i omiljenu/e radio stanicu/e ne razmišljajući o žanrovskim odrednicama (10%). Kod 37% ispitanika glazba uvijek utječe na njihovo trenutno raspoloženje, dok kod 55% njih glazba često utječe na raspoloženje. Većina ispitanika se potpuno slaže (56%) i uglavnom slaže (30%) s tvrdnjom kako ih glazba može osloboditi napetosti. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da su odgojno-obrazovni djelatnici općenito zadovoljni svojim poslom. Ispitani odgojno-obrazovni djelatnici imaju visoku psihološku dobrobit što je u ovom istraživanju mjera mentalnog zdravlja. Korelacijskom analizom utvrđena je značajna pozitivna povezanost između glazbenog obrazovanja, učestalosti slušanja glazbe, količine korištenih medija za slušanje glazbe i psihološke dobrobiti. Pozitivna povezanost utvrđena je i između višestrukih razloga za slušanje glazbe, slušanja glazbe zbog užitka i psihološke dobrobiti.
Abstract (english) Listening to music is part of everyday life of every person, including educators. The importance of music for a man can be tested from multiple viewpoints. One aspect of the observation of the importance of music relates to individual mental health. The aim of the study was to examine music habits, preferences and reasons for listening to music and the link between music and mental health of educational employees. Aloso, the aim was to describe the habits and reasons for listening to music, to explore preferences for musical genre, to examine beliefs about the impact of music on mood and behaviour and the mental health of educators in the form of psychological well-being and job satisfaction. The link between individual sociodemographic characteristics was examined by educational habits, supporters, preferences, and the reasons for listening to music and their psychological well-being. The results showed that the largest number of respondents, even 76%, listens to the music daily. Around 82% listen to music because of the pleasure the music brings to them while listening to it. Most of the respondents (93%) indicated that they listened to more than 3 music types and that the most common listening to pop (16%), rock (15%), classical artistic music, (10%) and popular radio stations which are not determined with specific genre (10%). At 37%, music always affects their current mood, while 55% of them are often affected by music. Most respondents fully agree (56%) and broadly agree (30%) with the claim that music can free them from strained tension. The results of this study show that educators are generally satisfied with their sending. The tested educators have a high psychological well-being in this research of mental health measures. The correlation analysis has established a significant positive correlation between the musical educational content, the frequency of listening to the music, the amount of media used to listen to music and psychological well-being. A positive link has also been established between multiple reasons for listening to music, listening to music for pleasure and psychological well-being.
