Abstract Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je, na temelju rezultata istraživanja „Pozitivan razvoj adolescenata u Hrvatskoj“ koji imaju nepovoljne pokazatelje za područje Varaždinske županije, analizirati koji se preventivni programi provode u osnovnim školama na području grada Varaždina. Istraživanje „Pozitivan razvoj adolescenata u Hrvatskoj“ pokazalo je da mladi imaju brojne probleme u svim područjima funkcioniranja, od internaliziranih problema odnosno problema mentalnog zdravlja do konzumacije alkohola i marihuane te vršnjačkog nasilja i rizičnog spolnog ponašanja što ukazuje na to da postoji potreba za primjenom i poboljšanjem preventivnih programa. U uvodnom dijelu ovog diplomskog rada nalaze se pojmovna određenja, teorijske osnove i koncepti važni za razumijevanje prevencije i preventivnih programa. Također su opisana područja na koja je usmjerena prevencija u osnovnim školama te načela učinkovitih preventivnih programa. Nakon uvodnog dijela slijedi analiza školskih preventivnih programa. Istraživanje je provedeno na dokumentaciji objavljenoj na javnim mrežnim stanicama sedam osnovnih škola na području grada Varaždina. Analizirani su školski preventivni programi za školsku godinu 2019./2020. koji su dio Godišnjih planova i programa rada. Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazuju da sve osnovne škole na području grada Varaždina imaju preventivne programe usmjerene na prevenciju nasilničkog ponašanja i prevenciju ovisnosti. Ovo je dobar pokazatelj i dobra podloga za daljnje usavršavanje i napredak u ovom području prevencije. Međutim, ne navode se programi za prevenciju problema mentalnog zdravlja, ali se unutar drugih preventivnih programa navode neke aktivnosti usmjerene na mentalno zdravlje. Također, ne navode se ni programi usmjereni na spolnu/rodnu ravnopravnost i odgovorno spolno ponašanje, a samo jedna škola navodi aktivnost povezanu s istim. Pokazalo se da se treba više pažnje usmjeriti na razvoj preventivnih programa povezanih s mentalnim zdravljem i spolnom/rodnom ravnopravnošću i odgovornim spolnim ponašanjem te da bi se trebalo raditi na poboljšanju postojećih preventivnih programa kako bi se postigli bolji rezultati u prevenciji poremećaja u ponašanju i promicanju mentalnog zdravlja djece i mladih.
Abstract (english) The aim of this thesis was, based on the results of the research "Positive development of adolescents in Croatia" which have unfavorable indicators for the area of Varaždin County, to analyze which prevention programs are implemented in primary schools in the city of Varaždin. The research "Positive development of adolescents in Croatia" showed that young people have numerous problems in all areas of functioning, from internalized problems, mental health problems to alcohol and marijuana consumption, peer violence and risky sexual behavior; which indicates that there is a need to apply and improve prevention programs. Introductory part of this thesis consists of definitions, theoretical foundations and concepts important for understanding prevention and prevention programs. The areas targeted by prevention in primary schools and the principles of effective prevention programs are also described. The introductory part is followed by an analysis of school prevention programs. The research was conducted on the documentation published on the public network stations of seven primary schools in the city of Varaždin. School prevention programs for the school year 2019/2020., which are part of the Annual Work Plans and Programs, were analyzed. The results of this research show that in all primary schools in the city of Varaždin, prevention programs are aimed at the prevention of violent behavior and the prevention of addiction. This is a good indicator and a good basis for further use and improvement in this area of prevention. However, mental health prevention programs are not listed, but some mental health-focused activities are listed within other prevention programs. Also, programs aimed at gender equality and responsible sexual behavior are not listed, and only one school lists one activity related to it. It indicates that more attention should be paid to the development of prevention programs related to mental health and sexual/gender equality and responsible sexual behavior. Also, it requires investing in improvement of existing prevention programs in order to achieve better results in the prevention of behavioral disorders and the promotion of the mental health of children and young people.
