Autism is developmental disorder that affects almost all mental functions, so children and adults with autism have problems with communication and behavior. Parents of children with autism face s number of stressful situations related to the upbringing and education of their children, for which they need a great support from their family and friends. The aim of this study was to examine the experience of stress and support from parents that have children with autism, whether there is a difference between men and women in the experience of support, whether there is a difference in the experience of support with the regard on program of primary school upbringing and education which their children attend and whether there is a connection of school class with experience of support of parents that have children with autism. The study involved 44 parents of children with autism spectrum disorder who completed the poll Stress Scale questionnaire (Colen, Kamarck and Mermelstein, 1983) and 37 parents who completed the Poll for support to parents and children with autism spectrum disorders. The results show that parents of children with autism do not experience much stress and they experience great support from school and other people around them. Furthermore, statistical analyzes did not identify statististically significant differences in the experience of support for men and women or the experience of school support with regard on the program of primary school upbringing and education which their child with autism spectrum disorders attends. No statistically significant correlation was found between the experience of school support and the school class their child attends.
