Abstract
Današnja djeca odrastaju uz medije od najranije dobi te stoga mediji imaju važnu ulogu u odgoju djece. Nasilje je sveprisutna pojava u medijima, od informativnog pa sve do zabavnog sadržaja, a iznimka nisu ni animirani filmovi koji su namijenjeni prvenstveno djeci. Utjecaj medija na djecu donekle mogu kontrolirati medijski pismeni i kompetentni roditelji koji kao takvi mogu odabrati kvalitetnije sadržaje kojemu će dijete biti izloženo. Iako je gotovo nemoguće s preciznošću izmjeriti koliku ulogu i na koje načine te koliko dugoročno će mediji imati posljedice na djetetov život, ipak je utvrđeno kako dugotrajna izloženost medijima, a samim time i nasilnim sadržajima u animiranim filmovima, ima brojne negativne utjecaje na djecu. Istraživanje koje je provedeno za potrebe ovoga rada pokazalo je malo roditelja prepoznaje elemente nasilnog ponašanja kod svoje djece kao posljedice gledanja animiranih filmova. Rezultati su pokazali i da roditelji razgovaraju s djecom o sadržajima animiranih filmova te da su svjesni posljedica dugotrajne izloženosti nasilnim medijskim sadržajima.
Abstract (english)
The media are part of everyday life of children from an early age so they play an important role in the upbringing of children. Violence is a ubiquitous phenomenon in the media, from informative to entertaining content, with the exception of cartoons aimed primarily at children. The influence of the media on children can be somewhat controlled by media literate and competent parents, who as such can choose better content to which the child will be exposed. Although it is almost impossible to accurately measure the role and in what ways and how long the media will have an impact on a child's life, it has nevertheless been found that long-term media exposure and thus violent cartoon content may have many negative effects on children. However, research conducted in this paper shows that a smaller proportion of parents recognize the elements of violent behavior as a consequence of watching animated movies. Results showed that parents talk to children about media content and that they are aware of negative consequences of exposure to violent media content.
