Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati povezanost perfekcionizma s optimizmom i pesimizmom kod studenata. U istraživanju su sudjelovali studenti prvih, drugih, trećih, četvrtih, petih i šestih godina različitih studija. Ukupno je sudjelovao 151 student. Skupinu mlađih studenata čine studenti koji se nalaze na prvoj, drugoj i trećoj godini studija, a skupinu starijih studenata oni koji se nalaze na četvrtoj, petoj i šestoj godini studija. Korišteni su sljedeći mjerni instrumenti: Skala perfekcionizma (Almost Perfect Scale, APS-R; Slaney et al. 2001) i Test životnog usmjerenja (Life Orientation Test, LOT; Scheier, Carver i Bridges, 1994). Dobivenim rezultatima pokazana je povezanost perfekcionizma i optimizma. Rezultati su pokazali da se adaptivni perfekcionizam pozitivno povezuje s optimizmom, dok se neadaptivni perfekcionizam negativno povezuje s optimizmom. Utvrđeno je kako će se kod studenata javiti izraženiji i veći adaptivni perfekcionizam, a manji neadaptivni perfekcionizam u odnosnu na mlađe studente. Nadalje, time je utvrđeno postojanje većeg optimizma kod starijih studenata u odnosu na mlađe studente.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the research was to examine the correlation of perfectionism with optimism and pessimism among students. The research included students from the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth year of the various studies. A total of 151 students participated. A group of younger students consists of students in the first, second and third year of study, a group of senior students who are on the fourth, fifth and sixth year of the study. The following measuring instruments have been used: The Scale of Perfectionism (Almost Perfect Scale, APS-R, Slaney et al., 2001) and Life Orientation Test (LOT, Scheier, Carver and Bridges, 1994). The results showed the connection between perfectionism and optimism. They also showed that adaptive perfectionism positively correlates with optimism, while nonadaptive perfectionism negatively correlates with optimism. It was established that adaptive perfectionism will be more pronounced in the senior students, compared to younger ones and also senior students would have smaller non-adaptive perfectionism. Furthermore, there was a higher optimism among senior students compared to younger ones.
