Abstract (english) The goal of this final work is to see the importance that experiments with water have in a child’s development while the purpose of this paper is to show how experiments with water are most adequately applied in practice and what are their characteristics and contributions in working with a child.
Depending on that, the work consists of nine parts, and these are the introduction, the water in the human body, conducting experiments and documenting them, examples of experiments, hydropower and sea energy, experiments conducted in early and preschool education institutions, research on conducting experiments with water in practice and conclusion.
These sections provide general information about water in the human body, the advantages and disadvantages of conducting experiments with water, the most adequate way of their translation and documentation. a number of water activities that educators can use in their work to encourage children’s creativity are also listed. Finally, the conclusions of their own research are presented, which show how educators themselves see the importance of conducting activities with water in terms of complete child development, which includes cognitive, speech development, development of fine motor skills, socio-emotional development and many others. More adequate space and better material conditions would enable more frequent application of these activities in the work with children. In particular, a quality environment enables the research of various logical phenomena, research into nature, sounds, movements, and encourages children to interact with each other and interact with educators.
Water activities are possible at any time of the year and are presented as an opportunity for individual and collaborative learning of children of different ages. Except they enable the observation of various properties of liquids, activities with water encourage the setting of hypotheses, the recording and revision of one's own thoughts. According to the great contribution of these activities in child development, they should be an integral part of the daily work of educators in institutions of early and preschool education.
