Abstract
Prehrana i prehrambene navike djece predškolske dobi uvelike ovise o prehrambenim navikama njihovih roditelja. S obzirom na današnji način života koji je užurban te roditelji vrlo malo svog vremena provode družeći se sa svojom djecom, često se događa da roditelji kuhaju nakon dolaska s posla. Uz to, sjedilački način života također utječe na kvalitetu života djece, ali i roditelja. Sjedilački način života za sobom poteže i nedovoljno kretanje, nedovoljno bavljenje tjelesnom aktivnošću, koje se odražava i na nepravilnu prehranu. Upravo su sve to razlozi zbog kojih se pojavljuju različiti zdravstveni problemi poput kardiovaskularnih bolesti, kao i pretilost. Od velike je važnosti osvijestiti dobrobiti pravilne i uravnotežene prehrane na zdravlje svakog pojedinca. Ukoliko se roditelji hrane zdravo, velika je vjerojatnost kako će to prenijeti i na djecu te će i djeca unositi u organizam namirnice bogate hranjivim tvarima koje su potrebne za normalno funkcioniranje. Ovaj diplomski rad u teorijskom dijelu govori o prehrani, prehrambenim navikama, hranjivim tvarima te o uzrocima i posljedicama nepravilne prehrane. U drugom dijelu rada opisana je anketa koja je provedena u svrhu pisanja diplomskog rada, a odnosi se također na prehranu koja je prisutna u obiteljskom domu. Istraživanje je pokazalo kako veliki broj roditelja koristi namirnice koje su svrstane u namirnice bogate hranjivim tvarima. Uz to, pozitivno je to što svoje slobodno vrijeme provode s djecom na zraku, potičući djecu da budu tjelesno aktivna. Budući da se u predškolskim ustanovama jelovnik temelji na namirnicama bogatim hranjivim tvarima, upravo takav jelovnik utječe na pravilan rast i razvoj djeteta. Dakle, predškolske ustanove i roditelji trebali bi svakom djetetu omogućiti da bude tjelesno aktivno te ga na to i poticati, a uz to ga usmjeravati k zdravim prehrambenim navikama s obzirom na to da pravilna prehrana utječe na daljnji život i njegovu kvalitetu.
Abstract (english)
Nutrition and eating habits of preschool children depends on parents eating habits. According to today`s hectic way of life, parents spend only a few hours with their child and very often parents cook after coming home from work. Relating to that, the sedentary way of life include inactivity and unhealthy diet. This is the reason why the cardiovascular diseases and obesity are more often. It is of great importance to raise awareness of the benefits of a proper and balanced diet for the health of each individual. If parents eat healthy, it is likely that they will pass it on to their children and they will also consume food that is rich in nutrients and that are necessary for normal functioning. In its theoretical part, this paper presents the importance od food, eating habits, nutrinet and consequences of unhealthy diet. The second part of this paper presents a survey conducted as a part of the study, related to nutrition at home. The research has shown that a lot of parents use groceries that lack of nutrients. However, the positive thing is that the parents, in their free time, go to the park with their children to spend more time on the air and so encourage their children to be physically active. Since the preschool institution menu is based on healthy food and good nutrients, this kind of menu influences the proper growth and development of the children. Therefore, preschool institution and parents should motivate and enable children to be more physically active. Over and above, children have to be directed to healthy eating habits, because it affects thei further life and its quality.
