Every day in educational institutions there are more and more children who have some difficulty in development. Many studies show that physical exercise is one form of activity that has a major impact on children’s development and their abilities. Children with disabilities, like all children, have a need for movement, activity, and exercise. The aim of this paper was to examine the competencies of students for organizing physical education with children who have some developmental difficulties. For the purpose of collecting data for this paper, an online survey was conducted. It was attended by 100 final year students of "Early and Preschool Education". The questions that were asked were related to the assessment of students' satisfaction with formal education and the assessment of knowledge and competencies related to this topic. The following results were obtained by descriptive statistics and data processing. Students are not satisfied with the knowledge gained from the implementation of physical education with children who have some developmental difficulties. They are aware of the importance of physical exercise as well as the positive impact on children with disabilities. In certain categories of implementation, they feel competent but insufficiently empowered, so they are undecided in assessing the competence of organizing physical culture with children with disabilities. This could be worked on during the implementation of kinesiology courses or during internships so that students, as future professional educators, feel competent in all areas of their profession,
