Abstract Još od Starog vijeka prepoznata je važnost odgoja koji se proučava kroz znanstvenu granu koja se zove pedagogija. Postoje različite discipline pedagogije pa tako i postoje različite podjele odgoja. Kako je vrijeme odmicalo i kako se sve veći broj ljudi počeo baviti tom znanošću, tako se došlo do zaključka da je najvažniji period u ljudskom životu, što se odgoja tiče, upravo onaj najranije dobi tj. predškolski odgoj. Predškolski odgoj odvija se u obitelji i unutar ustanova za rani i predškolski odgoj, što čine dječji vrtići. Kako je glazba sve prisutnija u našim životima, čak i od najranije dobi, naša glazbena pedagoginja, metodičarka i etnomuzikologinja Elly Bašić rođ. Lerch je svoj glazbeno-pedagoški koncept Funkcionalne muzičke pedagogije razradila u vertikali od predškolske (glazbeni vrtić) do srednjoškolske razine glazbenog obrazovanja. Temeljna ideja Funkcionalne muzičke pedagogije je pružiti mogućnost glazbenog obrazovanja svakom djetetu s primarnim ciljem razvoja njegove cjelovite ličnost putem glazbe. Ovakav pristup počiva na dva usmjerenja, a to su prirodna dispozicija mašte (sloboda ličnosti) i glazbena kultura i socijalizacija (adaptacija). Takvim pristupom omogućuje se podjednak glazbeni odgoj i mogućnost odgoja darovitog, prosječnog i hendikepiranog djeteta. Prva stepenica u odgojno-obrazovnoj vertikali je glazbeni vrtić koji prethodi osnovnoj glazbenoj školi. Glazbeni vrtić mogu pohađati djeca od navršene 5 godine života. Uz razvoj djetetovih prirodnih datosti i njegove cjelovite ličnosti putem glazbe, programom glazbenog vrtića Funkcionalne muzičke pedagogije razvijaju se prirodne datosti djeteta (glazbene, ali i druge) te se nastoji stvoriti komunikacija djeteta s okolinom koja uvelike pomaže pri djetetovoj socijalizaciji. Kroz igru, priču, slikanje, upoznavanje instrumenata, improvizaciju i brojalice te druge aktivnosti doprinosi se razvoju djetetova glazbenog potencijala te poticanju interesa i motivacije za glazbu i glazbenim aktivnostima.
Abstract (english) Ever since Ancient history people recognise the importance of education which is studied through a branch of science called pedagogy. There are two different disciplines of pedagogy and there are different classifications of education and upbringing. As time passed by and more and more people started to engage in this science, clear conclusion is that it is one of the most important parts of human life, as far as education is concerned. Preschool education unroll in family circles and in many institutes for early and preschool education, but most common is placed in kindergartens. Music is all around us in everyday life, even from the earliest ages, our music pedagogue, methodologist and ethnomusicologist Elly Bašić born Lerch came to the idea of a Music kindergarten which is based on functional music pedagogy. The idea of functional music pedagogy is that every child gets an equal music education and upbringing. This approach is keen on two orientations, and that is natural disposition of imagination (freedom of personality) and music culture and socialization (adaptation). This approach enables an equal music education and possibility of educating gifted, average and handicapped children. The first step towards that way of education is a Music kindergarten wich precedes Elementary music school. Children over the age of 5 can attend Music kindergarten. That system expands the childs natural gifts (music, but also many others) and it strives childrens communication with surroundings which in great extend helps for child sociolization. In programme of Music kindergarten there aren't any dirrect music breeding but there are through game, talking, painting, getting to know different instruments, improvisation and counters spontaneously stimulate interest in further dealing with music or at least get children closer to music.
