Abstract Praktični rad je u prvom planu proces između čovjeka i prirode u kojem on razmjenjuje materiju s prirodom, a pri tome ju nadzire svojom djelatnošću. Praktični rad može se još definirati kao aktivan odnos čovjeka i prirode. Metodom praktičnih radova učenici samostalno promatraju predmete i pojave te izvode različite operacije, postupke i pokuse. Učenici čitaju, bilježe, skiciraju, izrađuju te upoznaju svoje okruženje većim brojem osjetila. Praktični radovi u nastavi mogu se primjenjivati svugdje gdje učenici imaju izravan kontakt sa stvarnošću, od razredne učionice, školskih prostorija, okolice škole, školskog vrta pa sve do učeničkog doma. Cilj ovog rada je istražiti zastupljenost praktičnih radova u predmetnom kurikulumu te u suvremenim udžbenicima i radnim bilježnicama za nastavni predmet Priroda i društvo. Korištene su metoda analize, deskripcije i komparacije. Kako bi se ostvario cilj, provedena je detaljna analiza kurikuluma za nastavni predmet Priroda i društvo te odabranih udžbenika i radnih bilježnica od prvog do četvrtog razreda osnovne škole. Za potrebe istraživanja korišteni su udžbenici i radne bilježnice Prirode i društva u izdanju Školske knjige i Profila – Eureka i Pogled u svijet iz 2020. i 2021. godine. Rezultati istraživanja prikazani su tablično po razredima. U radu se ukazuje i na razlike u zastupljenosti (brojnosti) i obilježjima praktičnih radova u udžbenicima i radnim bilježnicama dvaju izdavačkih kuća.
Abstract (english) Practical work in the foreground is the process between men and nature in which we exchange material, substance with the nature and during that process we monitor the nature through our activities. Practical work could also be defined as an active relationship between men and nature. Using the method of practical work students have the opportunity to independently observe objects and appearances and to also perform different operations, procedures and experiments. The students read, take notes, outline, construct and get to know their surroundings with the help of numerous senses. Practical work within teaching could be applied in all areas of study where students are exposed to direct contact with the reality which includes their classroom, school premises, school grounds, school garden and extending even to the pupil dorms. The aim of this final paper has been set to explore the presence of practical works within the subject curriculum as well as within the contemporary textbooks and workbooks for the subject Nature and Society. The methods of analyses, description and comparison have been used there. In order to fulfil the aim of the work, a detailed analyses of the subject curriculum for the subject of Nature and Society had been conducted together with the analyses of selected textbooks and workbooks for the first, second, third and fourth grade primary school. For the purposes of the analyses the following textbooks and workbooks in the subject Nature and Society have been used, published by Školska knjiga and Profil in 2020. and 2021. year: Eureka and Pogled u svijet. The results are represented as tabulation for each class separately. This final paper also shows the differences concerning the occurrence and the content together with the characteristics of practical works in textbooks and workbooks published by different publishers.
