Abstract Ovaj rad temelji se na analizi stručne literature koja se tematski bavi važnošću pričanja priča općenito, a posebice djeci predškolske dobi pomoću tradicionalne japanske metode pripovijedanja nazvane - kamišibaj. Odrasli djeci pripovijedaju priče iz više razloga. Jedan od razloga jest užitak. Slušajući priču dijete uživa i odlazi u neki drugi svijet, razvija maštu i kreativnost.
Abstract (english) This thesis is based on an analysis of professional literature that thematically deals with the importance of storytelling in general, especially to preschool children, using a traditional Japanese method of storytelling called - kamishibai. Adults use storytelling techniques with children for several reasons. One of the reasons is pleasure. By listening to stories, children feel a sense of enjoyment and enter into another world, developing creativity and imagination. Additionally to pleasure, the stories provide new insights, and convey important messages and thoughts. Spoken word has a sagnificant effect on adults and children, therefore selecting the stories carefully is critical. When combined with an image, the spoken word becomes even stronger. This is why the traditional Japanese method of storytelling, called kamishibai, is suitable for storytelling with the aim of encouraging enjoyment in the story, understanding the story, and teaching children. Furthermore, in addition to listening to stories and watching performances, the creation of one's own has a positive impact on preschool children (Velički, 2013). This is supported by workshops that the educator is able to design alone or together with the children. The aim of this thesis, kamishibai, which I designed and the accompanying methodological elaborations, is to contribute to the recognition of this method among fellow educators in order to use or try to use it in their further work in the educational institution. In addition to pleasure, the purpose of the offered kamishibai and workshop is to stimulate imagination and creativity and discover the child's talents, recognize and experience emotions, reduce language barriers and disturbances, suppress the fear of public speaking and so one. Kamishibai and drama pedagogical workshops encourage children to create their own stories, transfer stories to paper and present them using a sramatic activities.
