Abstract
Odabrala sam temu „Pretilost djece u predškolskoj dobi“ zato što pretilost u svijetu i Hrvatskoj svakodnevno raste i postaje sve veći javnozdravstveni problem. Iako može biti genetski uvjetovana, pretilost je većinom uzrokovana međusobnim djelovanjem gena i okoline. Cilj ovog rada je podizanje svijesti o opasnostima koje dolaze s prekomjernom tjelesnom težinom, neuravnoteženom i nepravilnom prehranom te nedovoljnim opsegom tjelesne aktivnosti. Svi navedeni čimbenici u međudjelovanju stvaraju visok rizik od pretilosti i prekomjerne tjelesne težine.
Abstract (english)
I chose the topic „Obesity in preschool children“ because obesity in the world and Croatia grows bigger every day and it is becoming a bigger problem for public health issues. Although, it can be condition caused by genetic influence, obesity is mostly caused by mutual reaction between genes and the environment. The goal of this article is raising awareness about dangers that come with being overweight, unbalanced diet and insufficient amount of physical exercise. All those factors combined create a high risk from obesity and being overweight.
