The aim of this paper is to present the main components of a healthy lifestyle of early and preschool children, the importance of the role of parents and educators in promoting it and to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthy lifestyles of early and preschool children. The paper consists of a theoretical and a research work. The theoretical part of the paper presents all the components and importance of a healthy lifestyle of early and preschool children for quality growth and development of children. A healthy lifestyle consists of a healthy and proper diet, physical activity, sleep and socialization and mental health. Proper nutrition of children is extremely important and therefore it is necessary to ensure healthy nutrition for children both at home and in an educational institution, kindergarten. Physical activity is the natural need of children and therefore must be met in the optimal amount for normal functioning and quality growth and development of children. Good quality and enough amount of sleep is also necessary to preserve the health of children as it affects mood, concentration and energy. The good health of children of early and preschool age is also due to the socialization of children, ie socializing with peers and friends and preserving the mental health of children. The paper describes in detail this listed components of a healthy lifestyle. For the needs of the research work, a questionnaire with 26 questions was used in which 186 respondents, ie parents of children of early and preschool age, participated. The research sought to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the healthy lifestyle of early and preschool children. The analysis of the research shows that the COVID-19 pandemic did not affect the healthy lifestyle of early and preschool children, ie it did not change children's eating habits, physical activity, sleep, as well as socialization and mental health.
