Abstract (english) The child is by nature a researcher and man as an active being, strives for full realization and realization of his potential. The child is also motivated by the need to achieve security that requires the child's need to get to know and understand the environment in order to be able to anticipate and influence objects, events and phenomens. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs refers to the child as a researcher who satisfies his need to fullfill his psychophysical potentials and strive to understand the world. The child's interest is strongest in the first six years of life, especially in terms of research, discovery, interaction. The child will explore in accordance with his developmental abilities, needs, but also in accordance with the environment imposed on him. Preschool institutions that use outdoor learning and outdoor kindergartens or forest kindergartens allow children to stay in the sun all day. Furthermore, a practical learning environment helps children develop basic skills such as coordination and balance. Although the benefits of being outdoors speak for themselves, not all countries are yet able to participate in the concept of outdoor kindergartens. Licensing requirements in many countries hinder their development, also the lack of curricula and legal guidelines, and in some countries such a climate does not allow. Nevertheless, we can hope that more and more countries will see the great potential that this concept brings with it and start applying it in their daily work.
