kompetencije i osobine koje dijete razvije utjecajem socijalnog kapitala i ekonomskog kapitala
obitelji, razine obrazovanosti roditelja i strukture obitelji. Postoje brojna istraživanja koja
potvrđuju da postoji povezanost socijalnog kapitala i ekonomskog kapitala obitelji, odnosno
razine obrazovanja roditelja, oblika i strukture obitelji, i školskog uspjeha djece.
upisa u prvi razred i školskog uspjeha učenika. Cilj istraživanja u sklopu ovog diplomskog rada
obrazovanja majke i oca, broj članova u obitelji, oblik obitelji, stambene prilike obitelji i
Primarno obrazovanje u Republici Hrvatskoj obuhvaća razdoblje od prvog do četvrtog razreda
razred i školskog uspjeha.
prvi razred. Suprotno pretpostavkama, statistički značajne razlike školskog uspjeha s obzirom
na ostale odrednice dječjeg kapitala nisu potvrđene.
Abstract (english) The human capital of a child, ie children's capital refers to the knowledge, skills,
competencies and characteristics that the child develops through the influence of social capital
and economic capital of the family, the educational level of the parents and the structure of the
family. Numerous studies confirm connection between social capital and economic capital of
the family, ie educational level of parents, form and structure of the family, place of residence,
or distance from school and school achievement of children. Also, researches confirms the
connection between the achieved success on the assessment of maturity during enrollment in
the first grade and the student's school achievement. The aim of the research within this thesis
was to determine whether there is a connection between some determinants of children's capital
such as mother's and father's education, number of family members, family form, family
housing situation, place of residence and the category to which the student belonged after
achieving the number of points on enrollment in the first grade and school achievement at the
end of primary education and whether there are differences in school success of students at the
end of primary education with regard to some determinants of children's capital. Primary
education covers the period from the first to the fourth grade of primary school, ie the period of
class teaching, so in the research was used the school achievement at the end of the fourth grade.
The research was conducted by inspecting the pedagogical documentation on a sample of 155
students from 4 different schools. The results of the empirical part indicate that there is a
connection between the category when enrolling in the first grade and school achievement.
Also, it was found that there is a difference in the school achievement of students with regard
to the category achieved when enrolling in the first grade. Contrary to assumptions, statistically
significant differences in school achievement with respect to other determinants of child capital
have not been confirmed.
