Free time is very important in people's lives. It offers adults a chance to rest from daily responsibilities. Today’s hectic lifestyle has led to a reduction in free time. Free time and the quality of spending free time is most evident in the lives of children and young people. It can be said that preschool children have most free time that needs to be spent with quality. Out of the many activities offered, children mostly reach for “media toys” which cannot be avoided nowadays. Far from having the advantages that arelisted in this paper, but still there are many disadvantages. Parents even tolerate this, thinking that by doing so they can create free time for themselves. The family is the primary community for the upbringing and proper guidance of children in their development. Free time of children and young people is closely related to physicalactivity. Engaging in a particular activity affects a child's overall development. We contribute the most to children's development through physical activity and physical exercise. Sports activities are innate to the child, and they just need to be nurtured. The best way to create interest in a particular activity is through play. Playing is a natural way of acquiring knowledge, and childrenacquiremany skills in that way. Many authors haveworked on the topic of physical activity and free time, which is presented in this final paper as a research. In this paper the emphasis is placed on the importance of encouraging children to physical activities as soon as possible, which have a positive impact on the overall growth and development of the child and create a good foundation for continuing to engage in physical activity.
