Abstract
Biti dobar roditelj jedan je od najvećih izazova u životu svakog pojedinca. Roditelji imaju najznačajniju ulogu u rastu, razvoju i odgoju djeteta. Njihove odgojne metode i postupci, odnosno odgojni stilovi značajno utječu na život djeteta, na njegovo samopoštovanje i samopouzdanje, pogled na život i svijet kao i na njegove odnose s drugim ljudima. Roditeljski odgojni stil može se odrediti kao ozračje u kojem roditelji odgajaju dijete. U znanstvenoj literaturi opisuju se četiri roditeljska odgojna stila: autoritarni, autoritativni, popustljivi i zanemarujući. Navedeni stilovi nastali su kombinacijom roditeljske visoke i niske zahtjevnosti i topline. Neprimjeren roditeljski odgojni stil može imati negativan učinak na razvoj djeteta. Cilj ovog rada je opisati navedene roditeljske odgojne stilove te ukazati na njihove pozitivne/negativne učinke na rast i razvoj djeteta.
Abstract (english)
One of the greatest challenges in life is being a good parent. Parents are the most important figure in a child's growth, development and upbringing. Their educational methods and actions significantly impact a child's life, their self-respect and self-esteem, world view, and lastly their relationships with others. The climate in which parents raise their child can be defined as a parental educational style. In scientific literature, four such styles are described as follows; Authoritarian, Authoritative, Permissive and Neglectful. The four styles originated from a combination of parental demanding (high or low) and warmth. Inadequate parental educational style can have a negative impact on a child's growth. The goal of this thesis is to describe specified educational styles and point out their positive and/or negative effects on the child's growth and development.
