Physical activity is very important for children and young people since it has a rather strong influence on both physical and psychological state. One of the most common forms of physical activity that people are exposed to today is playing sports, which children come into contact with at school, in Physical Education classes. Badminton is one of the sports that is mainly practiced as an extracurricular activity, and it is not on the list of sports that must be taught in class. The goal of this research was to determine how students that are in the 4th grade of elementary school react to the mentioned sport when its elements are implemented in the Physical Education class. The paper also lists examples of some activities and games related to badminton that can be done with younger children of younger, and there are also some researches cited that explain and emphasize the many positive aspects of playing this sport. In the research conducted for the purpose of writing this paper, there were 60 students aged 10 and 11, of which 36 were boys and 24 were girls. Before the lesson of Physical Education with implemented elements of badminton, the subjects filled out a short survey, which they were given again immediately after the lesson in order to see if there would be any change in their opinion regarding this sport. The results of the research showed that there is no statistically significant difference in the opinion of the students about badminton before and after the lesson. However, further analysis showed that there is a statistically significant difference in the position of badminton as a favorite sport among girls and boys, where the mentioned sport is more favorite among girls than among boys.
