Handball is a sport that can provide many benefits to preschool children, such as the development of motor skills, social interactions and team spirit. An important aspect of handball is a proper introduction to the sport, which includes getting to know basic concepts such as teamwork and following the rules. Through games and fun activities, children will get to know the basic skills of handball, such as catching, passing and kicking the ball. The game adapts to children's age and understanding, encouraging the development of physical activity, coordination, balance and concentration. Handball also encourages social inclusion, interaction with peers and the development of communication skills. It is important to emphasize that the focus of handball in preschool age is on play and fun, encouraging children to have an active lifestyle and developing interest in sports and physical activity. Along with the elements of handball for preschool children, it is important to emphasize that safety is always a priority. During practice and play, coaches and parents should ensure that proper safety measures are applied to avoid injury. With proper guidance and support, handball will provide preschool children with the foundations for further sports development, but also for overall growth and progress. With regard to motor skills, some elements of the handball game are not suitable for preschool children. Therefore, this paper will describe the elements of the handball game that are adapted for that age group. Also, the structure of the physical and health education lesson in preschool education according to different parts of the lesson will be presented, and an example of a physical and health education lesson that includes handball elements, which has already been conducted in a preschool institution, will be presented.
