Yarn is a fleece whose main characteristics are weight, fiber content, texture and color. Since yarn is diverse, it can be used when performing various activities such as gluing yarn according to shapes, practicing tying shoes, wrapping objects, making 3D shapes, unraveling spider webs and many others. One of the activities with yarn that was more popular in the past is "Kolarić, Panić" in which the goal is to transfer yarn to one's own hands by following patterns that are repeated over time, without the yarn tangling and thus preventing the creation of the next pattern. Handicrafts that can be taught to children of early and preschool age are crocheting, knitting, weaving and embroidery, each of which affects fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, spatial relations, mathematical and logical skills and creativity. In addition, they taught traits such as patience, concentration, planning, organizing and self-esteem. Each of these handicrafts uses a specific tool in execution during the construction, and each of them is focused on the development of fine motor skills of fingers and hands and oculomotor coordination in its own way and encourages coordination, creativity, mathematical competence and the development of the senses of touch. Children should be encouraged to learn in the right way by actively doing so, and motivate them and give space to explore new objects and challenges that we pose to them. In working with children, it is necessary to focus on their previous knowledge and properly arouse their interest, and after they have mastered one of the activities, teach them to use the acquired skills in life and encourage their own creativity and build a positive image of their own abilities and values.
