Abstract Suvremeni način života i moderna tehnologija današnjice, rezultiraju sve manjom potrebom za prirodnim kretanjem.
Abstract (english) The modern way of life and the modern technology of today result in a decreasing need for natural movement. Children spend less and less time in open spaces in active play, which significantly affects their overall development. It is precisely because of this way of "modern living" that the anthropological status of an individual is already under a negative influence in early childhood. Institutions of early and pre-school upbringing and education strive to engage more and more in physical activity. The research was carried out for the purpose of determining, but also checking whether it is possible to carry out organized physical exercise with children of nursery age. During physical activity in the kindergarten, the following motor skills were monitored: walking, jumping, crawling, crawling, throwing and catching, and shooting. The child's success and failure were measured, i.e. whether or not he could perform the exercise correctly. The research lasted for twenty weeks and was conducted in the second younger nursery group in the Kindergarten "Botinec", on 19 subjects.
The results of the research established that children can participate in organized physical exercise within an educational institution and that with effort and work they can progress in the same. During the research, the children developed a positive attitude towards exercise. The educator must be motivated and possess the necessary knowledge in the field of kinesiology and must be able to demonstrate the correct execution of the exercise. Furthermore, the educator should also provide support to parents and educate them about the importance of conducting organized physical exercise with children of nursery age and about its necessity for quality growth and development. Only by working together, educators and parents can provide the child with a safe, healthy and active childhood.
This research is just the beginning and motivation for further research and testing of the motor capabilities of children of nursery age.
