Abstract
Otpornost se definira kao sposobnost održavanja prilagođenog funkcioniranja i očuvanja men-talnog zdravlja, unatoč različitim životnim nedaćama (Miljević-Riđički, 2013). Glavni cilj istraživanja je ispitati povezanost psihološke otpornosti roditelja i njihove djece, te dodatno ispitati razlike u psihološkoj otpornosti roditelja i djece s obzirom na neka sociodemografska obilježja (spol, dob, broj djece u obitelji, redoslijed rođenja te socioekonomski status obitelji). Također će se ispitati i mogućnost objašnjenja psihološke otpornosti djece na temelju otpornosti njihovih roditelja i sociodemografskih obilježja. Otpornost će se prezentirati kao nezaobilazan faktor u rastu i razvoju svakog pojedinca u emocionalnom, socijalnom i aka-demskom smislu. Provedeno je kvantitativno, korelacijsko istraživanje kojim je ispitana psihološka otpornost djece predškolske dobi (n = 104) i otpornost njihovih roditelja (n = 208). Nakon statističke analize, dobiveni rezultati su raspravljeni u kontekstu teorijskih (prvenstveno socijalnih i emocionalnih) okvira koji otpornost djece i roditelja ističu kao skup potrebnih vještina i znanja za uspješno suočavanje sa životnim izazovima i kompleksnim situacijama.
Abstract (english)
Resilience represents the ability to maintain adapted functioning and preserve men-thal health, despite various life adversities (Miljević-Riđički, 2013). The main objective of the research is to examine the relationship between the psychological resilience of parents and their children, and to further examine the differences in psychological resilience of parents and children with regard to some sociodemographic characteristics (gender, age, number of children in the family, order of birth and socioeconomic status of the family). The paper also examines the possibility of explaining the psychological resilience of children based on the resilience of their parents and sociodemographic characteristics. A quantitative, correlation study was conducted to examine the psychological resilience of preschool children (n = 104) and the resilience of their parents (n = 208). The results were discussed in the context of theoretical (primarily social and emotional) frameworks that emphasize the resilience of children and parents as a set of necessary skills and knowledge to successfully cope with life challenges and complex situations.
