Abstract (english) The aim of this study is to determine whether physical activity affects children's concentration in class, that is, whether children will have better test results before or after physical activity. It also investigates the impact of microbreaks on concentration in class, specifically whether students will have better test results if microbreaks are not taken during the lesson or after taking microbreaks. In the research, 36 third-grade students from Tin Ujević Elementary School participated. Out of the total sample of participants, there were 20 male students, which accounted for 55.56% of all participants, and 16 female students, which accounted for the remaining 44.44% of the total number of research participants. Throughout the testing, a total of eight exams were conducted, which included mathematical tasks from the curriculum that the students had learned at that time. Firstly, the impact of physical activity on concentration and academic performance was examined. Four tests were conducted, two of them before physical activity and two immediately after the physical activity in the physical education class. After that, the impact of microbreaks on concentration and academic performance was examined. Four tests were also conducted, two without microbreaks during class, and two after microbreaks were taken during class. During the research on the impact of physical activity on concentration in class, the results have showed that students have much better results without physical activity, i.e. when they take the exam before physical education and health class. After the research on the impact of micro-breaks on concentration in class, the results show that students perform better on the exam when the micro-break is not taken. Physical activity and micro-break during class disrupted the concentration that students had already acquired during the lesson.
